“ Now with a heap of stunning outdoor seating, this place has the potential to be a proper hidden breakfast gem. Especially for dog owners. The scrambled eggs were fantastic, super simple done really well. Great coffee and overall pretty good value for money. Need some music pumping through, and we’d have the perfect Sunday morning. ”
“ This is our go-to spot on the weekends—food, coffee, and pastries are all on point. The decor is lovely too, especially the colour combinations which give the place such a warm, inviting feel. The only downside is that the service can be a bit inattentive at times, but overall, it's still a favourite of ours! ”
“ We had a very good breakfast here recently. The food was excellent, as was the coffee and freshly squeezed juices. Service was a little hit and miss at first, with the initial waiter sitting myself and my elderly companion at a completely inappropriate table (little stools and bench for an 85 year old). Thankfully the female manager came over and seated us at a proper table. Sausage muffin was excellent, as were there soft eggs and smoked salmon. ”
“ Sensational breakfast, friendly staff (LOTS of friendly staff) and a pleasant place to spend Sunday morning. Dinner seems to have the main area opened up but breakfast coffee and croissants are managed off to one side and the effect is cost and vibey. Super delicious coffee and matcha latte. ”
“ This place is not bad but not excellent either. Food was good, service was as expected, they had a nice selections of pastries. The portions were a bit small and be a bit careful when you order the sausage - it is actually a muffin (similar to the McDonald's sausage mcmuffin). Overall not a bad experience but there are areas to improve on. ”
“ Updated based on 3 visits over Jan-Feb 25 What some of the reviews have noted is right- the menu seemed to have changed to a very basic breakfast fare and it seems to be all day breakfast with tapas style dishes only served at night. The service still needs work but we probably would limit our visit as we have primarily enjoyed their lunch menu/late arvo. Now that they only serve this for dinner it’s probably not worth our time. Right downstairs from it’s sister, soluna, sol is a more relaxed cafe that converts into a wine bar at night. With lots of pastries to try, it has a simple yet effective breakfast menu. Whilst there was nothing wrong with the food, we wished it was a little more daring and differentiated- but it’s possible that it’s new and they’re looking to be conservative at the beginning. We didn’t get to try the pastries but we did try the cake. The pandan basque cake was delicious but possibly too heavy for us. The brioche like bun with fresh cream whose name I cannot recall was a stunner. Service was good - compared to soluna it certainly was a significant improvement; so I wasn’t sure if I agreed with the reviews here. We visited at 1105 wanting to have lunch but were disappointed that they only switched at 1200. The lunch menu was what enticed us to visit, but we will be back perhaps in a month or two to try it. For breakfast - we wouldn’t be rushing immediately back (unless they made their menu more interesting) ”
“ Brunch store in North Sydney: not only coffee and sando, but they also have pasta with a local WW wine list by the glass. Soudourgh is made in Sol as well, very nice. ”
